Save the Children • In-school Tutorial • Afterschool Tutorial • 21st Century Learning • FY19 21st Century Learning Center Grantees Award of $700,000 over three years • Fall EOC Retest • Upcoming State Test • State ACT – February 20, 2019 – All 11th graders • National ACT – February 9, 2019 – Northside is a national ACT testing site. • NBCSD Department of Special Education was selected by First Book to participate in First Quarter for Literacy Week which is sponsored by Fletcher Cox and Chris Long Foundation • The books have arrived and will be distributed during Faust Quarter for Literacy Week, January 28, 2019 to February 1, 2019. • The teachers of NBCSD were presented with essential components and effective models of co-teaching in inclusive classrooms • The Special Education teachers are gearing up for testing by participating in regional training to ensure they are prepared to administer the Mississippi Academic Assessment Program – Alternate – MAAP-A.

At this time, MDE office is continuing operations without interruptions or changes • There are no plans to close I. T. Montgomery Elementary • There are no renovations going on at Shelby Middle School • There are no plans to close the parent centers • There are plans to move the Central Office in the old J.F.K. Building • 16th Section Revenue • 16-T25N-R6W – West Bolivar Consolidated School District controls but shares with North Bolivar • 16-T26N-R5W -, 16-T26N-R6W, and 16-T26N-R7W – Coahoma School district controls but shares with North Bolivar • 16-T23W-R5W and 16-T23N-R6W – Cleveland School District controls but shares with North Bolivar

Vision Statement • The North Bolivar Consolidated School District is a place where the students excel and leave college and career ready. • Mission Statement • In Partnership with the Community, Parents and Students, the North Bolivar Consolidated School District is committed to excellence by challenging our students to achieve their highest potential and preparing our students to compete in an ever changing global society. • Goal 1: To ensure all students receive a quality education • Objective A: Increase the accountability rating of the district to a “C” or higher by the end of the 2019-2020 school year. • Objective B: Strengthen Principal and Teacher quality, recruitment and retention yearly. • Objective C: Increase Teacher attendance rate by 10% annually. • Objective D: Increase Student attendance rate by 10% annually.

Goal 2: Unite our School Communities • Objective A: Increase the number of Parents/Community members who are actively engaged in school activities by 5%. • Objective B: Increase the number of community business partnership annually districtwide. • Objective C: Increase the number of Parents who actively participate in PTA activities by 5% annually districtwide. • Goal 3: Provide a safe and secure learning environment for our Students and Staff. • Objective A: Reduce the number of discipline referrals by 10% annually. • Objective B: Reduce the number of suspensions by 10% annually. • Objective C: Reduce the number of work-related incidents by 10% annually. • Goal 4: To ensure fiscal stability • Objective A: Maintain a 10% district maintenance fund balance to protect the district from deficiencies in local, state and federal funding annually. • Objective B: Implement the “Integrity” accounting system 100% districtwide. • Objective C: Create a long-term district financial plan by the end of the school year 2019-2020.
