The Outcomes • Define the environment. • Discuss the problems of environment • Recognize the new words , and use them in a context correctly • Find out the kinds of pollution . • Design movie maker to aware people from pollution effects . • Suggest ideas & projects to protect environment by acting the problem in a sketch . • Appreciate the importance of protecting environment.
Introduction Yesterday afternoon I was going to Amman from Jarash with my father , suddenly he changed the way and turn right to stop beside Zarqa river . He stared at the river for a while and say : ‘ look at this river my son , in the past it was clean , full of water, we were fishing there ,and many people came to spend their week end here .But now the fish die , not only the water is little, but also too dirty .Why do you think that ?’ And because I am in the 8th grade I have read a lot about the environment and replied my father that there must be an environment problem that damage our beautiful environment , so what can you do to protect our beautiful environment from damaging .
Task ( 1 ) There is a natural unit between all plants, and animals functioning together with all of the non-living physical factors of the environment. TO introduce more about the environment visit these websites and answer the questions, write your answers in a word page 1- What is environment ? 2- Why is the environment Important ? 2- What is the problems of environment ? 3- Find out the meaning of these words and the relation ship between them ? Task 2 Would you like to live in a town full of polluted air ? Would you enjoy studying 8 hours each day in a smoke-filled school ? What would you think of spending your whole life breathing the smoggy atmosphere? Yes, pollution is a problem! Pollution may be defined as en accumulation of any substances–in the air, in the water or on the land–in sufficient concentration to produce an unwanted or harmful effect on man, animals or plants. Each group discusses the kinds of pollution, Then design a movie maker about pollution to warm people about the bad effects of it upon our life .
Task 3 We need clean pure , and beautiful environment to live . But as we all know one hand doesn’t clap . So, every one has an important role to protect the environment according to his own effort and job . Each group will act a sketch to discuss the problems of the environment and suggest ideas and projects to protect the environment .each student in the group will represent different job in the society . ( doctor – student – factory owner – farmer – teacher ) I will use digital camera to depict each group’s show.
