Workshop activity… How can you structure evaluation so that it's continuous and impactful?
Reflection and evaluation are ongoing processes that can be both formal and more informal. A formal evaluation process and schedule should be established at the start of any initiative. Smaller, less formal evaluations can be conducted at various other times, in order to confirm initiative steps are aligned with your goals. For example, an informal review of a new teaching practice may be conducted once the practice is implemented to ensure students are benefitting
Workshop activity… You have been asked to draft a project proposal to provide students at your school with 1 to 1 access to technology, as a step towards creating a Modern Learning Environment.
Present your proposal on 3 slides… Slide 1: Current usage profile. How many students, have how much access to computers while at your school, how often, for how long? Slide 2: Project Goals. Why do you want to increase access, and what will be the outcomes? Slide 3: 1st Steps. How do you plan to achieve your goals and what are your priorities? How will you know if you have?
We have to re-conceptualise the boundaries of what technology now makes possible for learners...
