MISSION-ORIENTED YOUTH MINISTRY
Objectives: • To make our YOUTH more grounded into their faith towards MISSION for new evangelization; (i.e., to be aware of people in the grassroots) • 2. To discern the role of the YOUTH and its significance in the Church’s mission today • 3. To discover wrahere and how they can get involved for the good of the CHURCH.
What is MISSION ‘everything the Church does that points towards the Kingdom of God – having a specific task of making disciples of all the nations’ (Matthew 28:19ff “Find new ways to spread the Word of God to every corner of the world”
The MISSION of the CHURCH is to continue GOD’s SAVING work to His people CFC 1412 "that they may all be one... so that the world may believe that you have sent me“ (Jn 17:21). Trinitarian spirituality
The CHURCH, endowed with gifts of her founder, receives the Mission to proclaim and to establish among all peoples the Kingdom of God LG 5 Woe to me if I do not preach the Gospel! (1 Cor 9: 16)
In other words… The CHURCH is called and sent by Christ to: • PROCLAIM in Word and sacrament the definitive arrival of the Kingdom in Jesus of Nazareth • Offer itself as a WITNESS or a sign of its proclamation; • Enable to facilitate the coming of the reign of God through SERVICE within the community of faith and in the world at large.

The WORLD tells us to seek SUCCESS, POWER, andMONEY; GOD tells us to seek HUMILITY, SERVICE, andLOVE
“If we don’t have LOVE, all of our great accomplishments will be of no benefit” (1 Cor. 13:3)
However… MISSION is not necessarily… GEOGRAPHICAL
ENCOUNTERING CHRIST – as Mission is an issue of FAITH (RM 11) PROPHETIC DIALOGUE Faith-seekers Faith of other Religions People of other Cultures Poor and the Marginalized
Let us ask the LORD that our work today makes us all more humble, meek, more patient and more trusting in GOD so that the CHURCH may give beautiful witness to the people
