Since 2012, SME is a seperate platform opened up by BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange, Countries Oldest Stock Exchange) and NSE (National Stock Exchange, Countries Largest Stock Exchange) in India to help Small and Medium Enterprise raise funds through investors in Stock Market. Additionally, following couple of years the organization can get their offer transferred from SME platform to the Main Board. What is SME IPO?
Eligibility Criteria for SMEs to Raise Fund Through IPO • The company should have at least net worth and Net tangible assets of 3 crores separately. • The company should have a paid up capital of at least 3 crores. • As per Section 123 of Companies Act 2013, Company should have a distributable profit of 5 crores for last 5 years.
