Preparation for the Battle • 5:1-9 the men were circumcised • This distinguished them from the previous generation • Uncircumcision represented sinfulness Col. 2:11-13 • 5:10-12 the manna stopped • 5:13-15 God was present at the battle • He was on neither side v.14 • God has given the city to them 6:2
