Mobile designs require simplified navigation that does not take up too much of the visible area of the screen.  Front page carousels Carousels are bad for search engine optimization. Carousels are for pure aesthetics. Your keywords and other optimization will be directly in the body of the web page.  Parallax Scrolling Parallax scrolling is a technique that allows the foreground and the background to scroll at different speeds.

Too much Java Script Java Script can do a lot of things that other languages cannot. But it adversely affects the site loading times.  Complex Typography Using multiple typefaces makes your site look interesting. However, too many of them totally spoil the reading experience.
