Turning off your Mac. Turning off your mac without proper shutdown is one of the worst things you can do. It can screw up your hard drive, scramble your contents of your files or both
SHUT DOWNto shut down properly go to the finder window and click on the apple menu. Click on shut down. The only time you break this rule is if your mac is frozen, the wheel of death is spinning.
