Cisco Networking Academy “NetRiders” Promotes Networking/IT skills building on Cisco Networking Academy curricula/tools Challenges students to achieve high standards of competence in Networking/IT Leverages Web 2.0 technologies to create a virtual learning environment Provides the opportunity to compete against students in other locations Provides visibility for Cisco, Networking Academies, students and instructors Helps identify top talent to potential employers Great prizes for top 10 winning teams

  3. 2010 NetRidersUS/Canada Theater-wide Competition • Available to high school students enrolled in a Cisco Networking Academy course within the past 6 months • Students compete in teams of two in-class • Contest held between March 15-April 30 • Event takes place in 3 stages and consisted of timed theoretical exam and Cisco Packet Tracer activity/exam • Exam content mapped to CCENT certification • Prizes awarded to top 10 teams across theater

NetRiders – Spring 2010 (high school) State/Province Qualifier Registration Team Qualifier Theatre Finale Dates Mar 1-15 Mar 15-26 April 12-23 April 30 Duration 2 weeks 1 day 1 day 1 day Online exam and PT activity taken in NetAcad classes (50 min) Online exam and PT activity (120 min) Register online (practice exam offered during reg) Exam Format Online exam and PT activity (90 min) Virtual In Class Virtual In Class Virtual via WebEx Event Format High school students in the US and Canada Teams compete for top 10 spots for their state/ province Who participates? Team from state or province Top 10 teams per state/ province Top 10 teams per state/province move on to state/ province event Who proceeds to next round? Highest team score for each state/province Top 10 teams win prizes

Prizes: US/Canada NetRiders (Top 10)* 1st Place Flip Ultra HD Video Camera (120 min.) – to each winner and their instructor $500 value gift card - to each winner 5 CCNA Certification Vouchers awarded to winning Networking Academy (valid for up to 12 months) 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th Place Flip Ultra HD Video Camera (120 min.) 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th Place Linksys Wireless 310N Router *Tentative List – see RULES for final list of prizes and details.
