  4. Imaginative narrative- a story that is make believe with events that can not happen in real life Example: Cinderella Non- example: Junie B. Jones- Realistic fiction

  5. Why is it important to know the different structural features of various imaginative narratives? Makes us better reader and it helps us make better predictions.

  6. Various Types of Imaginative Narratives Folktales Fables Tall Tales Fairy tales Legends/ myths Fantasies • Were animals act like people • Setting in another world or imaginary place • Magic • Characters can have special powers • Ex- Harry Potter
