  2. HOW MUCH WILL IT COSTto Attend MWU? Average Annual Costs (12-month budget) Figures based on 2010-11 Academic Year • $52,316 for students living with parents • $56,798 for students living on campus • $62,096 for students living off campus Cost of Attendance will increase 5% to 7% annually.

  3. COST OF ATTENDANCE Includes educationally related expenses for the student only, such as: • Tuition, Books & Supplies • Insurance • Rent & transportation • Personal Expenses Cost of Attendance does not include: • Car payments, Credit Card payments • Moving expenses • Higher than average rent or mortgage • Recreation • Dependent Care Expenses (Exception: Daycare expenses for single students or married students with working spouses)

FEDERALLOANS • PERKINS(subsidized loan) • Based on eligibility of neediest students • Amounts vary from $2,500 to $3500 • Apply before priority deadline • STAFFORD: (subsidized/unsubsidized loan) • Automatically awarded with FAFSA application • Annual limit $20,500 • Aggregate limit $138,500 • GRAD PLUS:(Credit-based loan) • Covers the remainder up to cost of attendance.

APPLICATION PROCESS • Apply for financial aid online as soon as matriculation deposit is made • Financial Aid tab available via MWUNET (full online application instructions) • Living expense refunds disbursed during week after class begins • Please come prepared with one month’s living expenses! • Check your MWU e-mail and Message Board for Notifications *Priority Deadline (Early April)
