  1. Types of heart disease: • Left ventricular hypertrophy: the major pumping chamber of the heart is the left chamber( pumping blood to the body through the aorta). If the left ventricle has too work too hard, its muscle hypertrophy ( enlarges) and becomes thick. This is called (LVH). Because of the increase thickness, blood supply to the muscle itself may become inadequate. This can lead to:

  2. Cardiac ischmia: not enough blood and oxygen at the tissue level), myocardial infraction( heart attack), or heart failure. • Other heart diseases: • Congenital heart disease: pulmonary stenosis • Valvular heart disease: • Coronary heart disease: the most common type
