Lessons Learned • Important that home and remote state collaborate to ensure appropriate handling of case from receipt of complaint to resolution • Establish relationships and trust • Use one staff member to monitor flow of information for compact cases
Lessons Learned cont… • Support and education of staff is very important • Resilience is important • Establish early communication links with border states • There WILL be a period of adjustment!
Concerns • Need for uniform licensure requirements, irrespective of licensure model • Timely sharing of investigative information
Concerns cont… • Need consistency in posting and removing current significant investigative information in Nursys • Need consistency in defining key terms and key licensure actions • CBC
