  3. 1) A brief historic • The name of the Bull company comes from Fredik Rosing Bull (born in 1882), who was the creator of a recording perforated punched-card machine able to treat the statistics. • After his death in 1925, OKA, his first client, decided to continue his work. In 1930, the BULL AG company is founded. • Bull has built it first computeur, the GAMMA 60, in 1956

  4. Bull partners • In 1963, Bull was established in 46 countries and exported 60 % of its production. Bull was ranked number two in computer assembly. • During this time, Bull AG made an association with General Electrics, and became Bull General Electrics. • The american society Honeywell has bought the computer activities of General Electrics in 1970, so that Bull became Honeywell Bull.

  5. Bull became a French company • The CII Honeywell Bull was created in 1976, in association with the French State. • The French State take control of the CII Honeywell Bull, wich became Bull. It was the last renamy of Bull.

The privatisation of Bull • Due to many financial difficulties, Bull was privatizated in 1993. • Bull sold many of its subsidiary companies, like BEA . • The shareholders refused to help Bull, wich was in critical situation in 2002. • Pierre Bonelli has contributed much to save Bull and to bring back the benefit.

What is Bull Now ? • Bull provides solutions and services to key markets, including the public sector, finance, manufacturing, and telecommunications. • Bull has Partnerships with some of the world's leading IT companies - including IBM, Intel, NEC, NCR, EMC, STK, BEA, Oracle, and Microsoft - ensuring that Bull has access to best of breed technologies to help develop customized solutions.
