Asian Institute of Corporate Governance - The primary research institute on corporate governance issues in Asia The Goals • To provide stimulating academic environment to encourage top-rated research on corporate governance • To develop and provide policy measures and implications on corporate governance issues • To provide training programs for business people • To enhance international cooperation on corporate governance issues • To enhance the public understanding on corporate governance

Asian Institute of Corporate Governance Background • Corporate governance issues requires cooperation among academics, policy makers, practitioners and management • Interdisciplinary nature of corporate governance requires cooperative works in finance, law, economics and politics • Cross regional cooperation is also needed to help local economies to improve corporate governance of their domestic firms • AICG tries to comprise inter-area, interdisciplinary and international perspectives in its activities
