Be sure to: • Create a purpose by turning the title into a question. • Underline details that answer your purpose. • Circle words and phrases you don't know. • Star important details. • SHOW YOUR THOUGHTS on the paper... next to EACH paragraph, write a sentence summary or a question. • Reread a second time, highlighting ONLY THE MOST IMPORTANT DETAILS (10%).
