  4. Your myFinAid page is your Financial Aid Center:

  5. Your myFinAid page is accessed through your myWalden page!

  6. How to access Step 1 Click the Student Services tab: Step 2 • Click the View Your Financial Aid Account link:

  7. Step 3 A pop-up window will now appear. This is your myFinAid page: Step 4 • You’re now ready to accept your award money!

  8. Step 2: Accepting your Award Money

  9. Find and click the Accept Awards tab:

  10. Take a minute to review the instructions listed: This is great info, but if you want to change your award amount, look a little further down… Here you can select the dollar amounts and change them to what ever you want. This dollar amount will be for a full year’s worth of tuition. To accept everything, click the Accept All button.

  11. Once you’ve submitted (or accepted the total award), you’re now ready to follow these red directions. You’ve also graduated to Step 3!!

  12. Step 3: Locate and Complete Financial Aid Paperwork

  13. You’ve accepted your awards, but that doesn’t mean that you’re done. There are three procedures you must undertake to complete the total process: • Complete your Entrance Interview • Complete a Master Promissory Note • Submit the Data Request Form DON’T WORRY!! You’re almost done.

  14. After you accepted your awards, if you correctly followed the red directions, you clicked on the Apply Online tab:

  15. Feel free to skip Step 1 on this list; you just completed that step in the last section. Step 2 instructs you to complete the Master Promissory Note and Entrance Interview. Click the link that the giant finger is pointing at to move to the next slide…

  16. Clicking the link takes you to this window: Complete the steps as listed. The Entrance Interview is a tutorial describing your loan. This step is completed first, as there is information about the Master Promissory Note in the Entrance Interview.

  17. Notes on the Entrance Interview and Master Promissory Note: • The Entrance Interview contains quiz questions you must answer correctly for successful submission (don’t worry, they’re easy). Just pay attention to the material in each section, and you’ll be fine. • When you begin the Master Promissory Note process, be sure to start a “new loan.” • To electronically sign your Master Promissory Note, you’ll be asked for a PIN number. This PIN is the same as the one you used for your FAFSA.

  18. Once finished with the promissory note and interview, go back to your myFinAid page and the Apply Online tab:

  19. The final step is to complete the Data Request Form: The giant finger is pointing at four active pull-down menus that correspond to four questions/statements. This is simply a glorified check list making sure you completed the previous steps. Your anticipated graduation date is “After April 2011,” and the answers to the next three questions should be “Yes.” Make sure the selections are such, then click the Submit button.

  20. Now that the Data Request Form is submitted… YOU’RE DONE!! Picture courtesy of: http://www.affordablehousinginstitute.org/blogs/us/whew_small.jpg

  21. You’re now ready to complete the process for real! Always remember, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact your enrollment advisor. Click the “Next” button to be taken to your myWalden page log in to begin the process. Click “Done” to exit this presentation.
