  3. Spiritual Growth Depends On… • Proper nutrition, ( John 6:35, 48-51, 63, 68; 1 Peter 2:2 ) • Spiritual exercise, ( Hebrews 5:13-14; 1 Timothy 4:7-8 ) • Disciplined lifestyle, (1 Corinthians 9:24-27 )

  4. I am Growing Weaker and Away from Christ If… • Dull heart, (Matthew 13:15; Acts 28:27) • Cold love, (Matthew 24:10-12) • Obedience is a burden, (1 John 5:3) • Love is pretended, (Matthew 22:37-39) • Prayer is an afterthought, (Luke 18:1, 8)

  5. I am Growing Weaker and Away from Christ If… • Weary of doing good, (Galatians 6:9) • No zeal, (Titus 2:14) • Forget that service is to the Lord, (Matthew25:40, 45)

  6. I am Growing Weaker and Away from Christ If… • Eager to satisfy the flesh, (1 Tim. 5:11) • Wanton: “burn fiercely”, (1 Thess. 4:3-5; Romans 13:13-14; Ephesians 4:22) • Instead of fleeing and abstaining, become curious to satisfy, (1 Peter 2:11; 2 Timothy 2:22)

  7. I am Growing Stronger and Closer to Christ If… • Speak and live the truth in love, (Ephesians 4:13-15, 25, 29 Matt. 12:34) • Do my part, (Eph. 4:16; 1 Cor. 12:14-27) • Vital, • Needed, • Honorable, • Mutual care,

  8. I am Growing Stronger and Closer to Christ If… • Personal faith is growing, (2 Thess. 1:3 (2 Pet. 1:5-11); Heb. 6:10-12) • Growing in grace and knowledge, (2 Peter 3:18 (14-17) • Put away sinful attitudes and conduct, (1 Peter 2:1-2; James 1:21-22; Eph. 4:20-24)

  9. Spiritual GrowthDoes not End!Philippians 3:12-14 • If growing weaker and farther from God, you are in danger of spiritual death, (James 1:15-16) • If you are growing stronger and closer to God, you are equipped to partake of the inheritance of eternal life with God. (Colossians 1:9-12)
