In an open deck, cards are visible to the player and it is formed by the cards which are discarded by the player at the time of playing. The players can pick cards from both. HOW TO PLAY INDIAN RUMMY A toss is conducted at the start of the game, where the cards are dealt on a random basis to all the players on the table. The player holding the highest number of cards in hand is declared as the winner of the toss and gets the chance to initialize the game. A total of 13 cards is given to all the players on the table. To give the indication about the start of the game, the first card is kept in the open deck and the remaining cards are placed in the closed deck.

If you use two or more cards of the same suit then it is considered an invalid set. How to form sequences? A sequence is a combination of three or more successive cards of the same suit. A sequence is of two types: pure sequence and impure sequence. To win a game of online Rummy, a player is required to form at least 2 sequences with one compulsorily a pure sequence.
