  2. Parental Perspectives on Pediatric Mental Health Services Study MSW students conducted Parental Perspectives on Pediatric Mental Health Services study in June and July 2014. The purpose of the research study is to answer the following research questions: 1) Who is treating children and adolescents that have mental health needs? 2) Do the parents/caregivers of these children believe that their children’s/adolescent's mental health needs are being met?

Parental Perspectives on Pediatric Mental Health Services Study • The following professional networks serving parents and/or caregivers of children and/or adolescents with mental health needs were utilized to distribute the survey. • Wisconsin Family Ties • Family Voices of Wisconsin • Parent to Parent of Wisconsin • Autism Society of Wisconsin • Wisconsin Foster and Adoptive Parents Association

  4. Parental Perspectives on Pediatric Mental Health Services Study • 96 Parents/Caregivers Completed the survey • Of the respondents: • 71% children/adolescent were male • 29% children/adolescent were female • Average age of 12.8 (SD=4.8) with a range from 2-21 • Average distance traveled 32.4 miles (SD=20.5) • Average wait time for services was 2-4 weeks
