Pasvalys Lėvens Basic School was opened on 1 September, 1987.
Theschool building is situated by the river Lėvuo in Kalno street in the northern part of Pasvalys. It consists of 6 blocks and 3 stage levels because of the hilly relief and active sinkhole region.
In 1987 there were 861 schoolchildren and 55 teachers working full time.
This year the school is celebrating its 25 years anniversary • The first school director was Arvydas Kontenis (1987-1993) • From 1993 till 2011 the school was headed by Danis Vaišnoras • In 2011-2012 the temporary director was a deputy for education Aida Abukevičienė. • In September 2012, after national educational reform, Ustukiai, Valakėliai and Lėvens basic schools were reorganized into one unit. The director of Ustukiai and Valakėliai schools Lina Rauckienė became the director of the united Pasvalys Lėvens basic school.
The school‘s staff are creative and hardworking people. All teachers have high pedagogical education and necessary qualifications to work with children. Some of the teachers have been working in the school since it was opened.
In 2010 Ministry of Education awarded our school with the school bus specially equipped and designed for safe transport of children
The school is proud of its pupils and is eager to satisfy children’s and parents’ needs.
Mobile lessons are taught in museums, swimming pool, in the nature.
Creative works of children are exhibited in the school’s museum, reading room, assembly hall.

‘Crazy’ Autumn is the Alternative Fashion Show which is probably the most creative, colourful and popular among pupils and teachers.
„Ecological action „Let‘s Do It!“„Let‘s do it!“ is a yearly general action when all Lithuanian people clean the environment. This action originated in Estonia in 2008 and was very successful. Inspired by Estonian experience, Lithuania, among many other countries, joined this honorable action and now it takes place in Latvia, Slovenia, Brazil, India, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, etc .Our school was one of the first ones who joined the action in 2008.
Every year in June our school organises a 10-day camp for socially supported children.The name for the camp is ‘Let’s Be Together’
Our Achievements We activelyparticipateinvariousprojects, competitions, olimpiadsandbecomewinnersandprizemen. Pupilsofourschool are especiallykeenonsports. Youngathletes, handballandbasketballplayersmakeourschool‘s name famousnotonlyinLithuania, butinothercountriestoo. Wehavebeenamong 10 best sportingschoolsinLithuaniasince 2003.
In 2012 our girls became the gold medal winners in the Young football players (age 14-16) national championship among girls.
Pasvalys Lėvens basic school handball team were awarded bronze medals in the National Olympic Festival for schools.
In 2011 our girls were awarded bronze medals in the track and field national competition.
‘The Traffic Light’ is a Road Safety Competition in which we have been among winners for 10 years
It seems we are successful in our work. We are creative, full of life, energy and new ideas. We want to achieve our best. But what do these numbers say?
