Aluekehittäminen ja Occamin partaveitsi Aluekehittämisestä tulee karsia kaikki ylimääräiset tekijät eli strategioiden teorioiden tulee olla mahdollisimman yksinkertaisia. kilpailevista, yhtä pätevistä strategioista tulisi valita kaikista yksinkertaisin. ”Non sunt multiplicanda entia praeter necessitatem” asioita ei tule monimutkaistaa tarpeettomasti.
