“God’s Eye” Craft • The Huichol Indians of Mexico weave brightly colored yarn on a simple frame of crossed sticks to make a design called "Ojo de Dios" or "Eye of God". • They were made to be placed on an altar so that the gods could watch over the praying people and protect them. • They are now sold in markets, reminding us that God looks with love on people everywhere.
A Few Things About a Child’s Experience in Mexico • Kids enjoy the same type of toys and games as you – puzzles and bingo being popular • Kids enjoy painting ceramics • Jumping rope at school recess is big! • Lots of fresh fruit and fruit juices are always available • Chocolate is a popular breakfast food!
