NSF Goals for IPY Education • Leverage the appeal of the polar regions to teach people of all ages about the relevance of polar regions to the earth system • Engage and educate diverse and underrepresented communities • Attract and develop the next generation of polar researchers • Enhance and create educational resources that impact a broad audience • Provide research experiences for teachers, graduate and undergraduate students
