First Australians • The first Australians were called Aboriginals. They had animal skins for clothes, kangaroo leg muscles for string and the had 700 different languages. They also had dream time story's like the rainbow serpent, tidalik the frog and bungle the eagle. They also had cultural dances.
Aboriginal Culture My aboriginal type artwork represents four men running through the sandy hills of the fire that never goes out. They are also being chased by the rainbow serpent.
Aboriginal culture the origin of water #1 • Prediction: I think the aborigines believed that the origin of water was that one night a cloud was making a grumbling noise and the elder aboriginal got mad and threw a spear. For a while the spear stayed in the cloud then water started to pour out of the cloud but it started to flood the earth but all the wombats dug holes all around the world and that’s how the lakes and rivers got made.
Aboriginal culture the origin of water #2 • Summaries: all the animals had to drink dew or eat kangaroos grass to break their thirst. One day a bandicoot saw the blue tong lizard drying him self and the all the animal said you must have water tell us where it is now the lizard said no. so they got the bandicoot to spy on the lizard. But he failed so they got the willy wagtail to follow the lizard but he failed as well. Just when they were losing hope the rat came and said I can do it but the ringtail possum said no. the rat did it and succeeded and found the water and even scared the lizard went away. The animals were so glad that they went for a swim. The king fisher was so happy that he twirled around in the water and splashed and that’s how the all the ponds and rivers were made. The end.
Aboriginal culture the origin of water #3 • Feeling: I think the lizard felt scared when the bandicoot found out that he had water.I also think the rat felt sad when the animals laughed at him. • Questions: Why didn’t the lizard share the water with the other animal? Why didn’t the animals let the rat try and follow the lizard? • Moral: The moral of the story is that little things can make a big difference.
18thCentury England • 18th century England was horrible. If you were poor you would have to steal food. Stealing a gentlemen's handkerchief would be like stealing a computer today. The jails didn’t provide clothes, food and a bed. Soon the jails got crowded. So they started to ship the criminals to Australia. The orphanage hardly provided any food for the children and if you asked for more food you wouldn't get it and you would get punished
The First Fleet • My name is John Archer/Forrester I am a male and I am 31. I was sent to an unknown island on the ship Scarborough. I stole a coaches window glass, it was worth 40 shillings. I was sent there for 7 years. I died in 1818/29/6.
