  21. PREPARATION FOR JEE • The national level entrance exam of JEE Main  is getting bigger and bigger every year and with this, the expectations from the candidates must have also increased. • Syllabus is generally from NCERT text books Class 11 and 12 portions

  22.  Young Scientist Incentive Plan (KVPY) • This exam serves as an entrance exam to various premium pure science institutes in India such as IISC and IISER • scholarship program is funded by the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India, • aimed at encouraging students to take up research careers in the areas of basic sciences. • The students who qualify KVPY Exam are eligible for the fellowship as well as admissions into institutes like IISc or IISER based on additional criteria. • This exams has 3 Streams: SA (Class 11), SX (Class 12), and SB (First year BSc). • For receiving a fellowship, both aptitude test (75%) and interview marks (25%) are considered.

  23.  Young Scientist Incentive Plan (KVPY) • EligibilityCriteria for various streams – • Stream SA: Students enrolled in XI Standard (Science Subjects) -minimum of 75% marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects in the X Standard Board examination immediately in the preceding academic year • Stream SX: Students enrolled in XII Standard/ (+2) (Science subjects) have secured a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects (Physics/Chemistry/ Biology) in their X Standard Board Examination • Stream SB: Students enrolled in the 1st year of undergraduate program in Basic Sciences namely Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics & Biology having secured a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in MATHEMATICS and SCIENCE subjects (Physics/Chemistry/Biology)  in the XII Standard Board Examination immediately in the preceding academic year. Admission through KVPY or JEE – participating Institute IISc • The Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore a leading institution of higher learning with a strong tradition of research • Admission offers will be made to JEE-Main, IIT-JEE-Advanced and NEET-UG qualifying and eligible candidates • Programmes offered- • 4-year Bachelor of Science (Research) programme • 5-year Master of Science programme • Six major disciplines are offered: • Biology, Chemistry, Earth & Environmental Science, Materials, Mathematics, and Physics.

The National Entrance Screening Test or NEST • Eligibility criteria : At least 60% marks in aggregate (or equivalent grade) in Class XII (or equivalent) examination from any recognized Board in India.  • National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai - Department of Atomic Energy Center for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CBS), Mumbai are participating institutes • Both NISER and CBS are autonomous institutions established by the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, in 2007. • All the candidates admitted to 5-year Integrated MSc programme, Govt. of India, scholarship of ₹5,000/- per month and ₹20,000/- per year for carrying out summer projects.
