Have you ever been to Ölüdeniz? It is a small resort village in Fethiye, Muğla. It is in the South West coast of Turkey on the Aegean Sea.
Ölüdeniz is one of the top five beaches in the world. • It has a wonderful sandy bay at the mouth of Ölüdeniz, on a blue lagoon. • The lagoon is a national nature reserve. • Ölüdeniz is famous • for its colours of turquoise and aquamarine.
It is one of the most photographed beaches on the Mediterranean. • It is a blue flag beach. The resort is also famous for its paragliding opportunities. • It is one of the best places in • the world to paraglide because of its unique views and • the Babadağ Mountain’s exceptional height.

Which cities have you seen so far ? • I have already seen İstanbul. It’s the best city I have ever seen. We have just come to İzmir. • We have already seen Alsancak and Karşıyaka, but we haven’t seen Kemeraltı and Bornova yet. • We have also visited the Archeology Museum and Atatürk Museum.
Derya : Have you seen Ephesus yet? • Jane : No, I haven’t. Is it a town? Where is it? • Derya : It’s an ancient city. There are ruins of that ancient city in Ephesus. • It was first a Greek, than a Roman city. It had a population of 250,000 in the 1st century. • It was the second largest city in the world then. • It is nearly 80 km from İzmir. It’s very close to Kuşadası
Jane : Oh, yes. I remember it. My brother has been there before. He has told • me about it. • Derya : Really? When did your brother travel to Turkey? • Jane : He travelled to Turkey two years ago. He has been to İzmir, but he • has never been to İstanbul.
DeryaHe should come again and see İstanbul. Have you been to Çeşme? • Jane : No, I haven’t yet. • I’ve heard a lot about it. It’s a seaside town, isn’t it? • Derya : Yes, it is.
Jane : What is it famous for? • Derya : It’s famous for windsurfing and a kind of pastry named “Kumru”. • If you like, I can take you there. • I haven’t eaten “Kumru” since last summer. • You can try it, too. • Jane : That would be great! Thank you!
