Parkview Campus • The Business, Technology, and Research Park is located nearly 3 miles from WMU’s main campus. • Features over 30 companies in the engineering, technology, and life sciences • Recognized by the State of Michigan as an economic “Smart Zone”. • CEAS is housed in a $100 million facility with over 75 labs.

Industrial & Entrepreneurial Engineering • New major in Fall 2008 • How-to-do engineering vs. What-to-do engineering • How-to-do has been getting outsourced (automation, repetitive tasks) • What-to-do focuses on innovation and front-end skills. • KCC Joint Admissions Program • For Engineering and Technology students only • Students must be admitted to both WMU and KCC • Ensures course articulation and seamless transfer to WMU CEAS • CAPE – The Center for Advanced Printed Electronics • Run through our Paper, Chemical, and Imaging Department • Focuses on printing electronics such as RFID tags, integrated circuits, and solar cells

Alternative and Renewable Energy The College of Engineering and Applied Sciences has joined forces with the Departments of Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Geosciences to form an Alternative Energy coalition at WMU. Focus on alternative and renewable sources of energy from wind, fuel cells, solar, and bio-diesel.
