EmployAbility – Who are we? EmployAbility is a not-for-profit organisation that: • supports and advises disabled students/ graduates in the transition from education to employment • Works with employers to develop an inclusive and open working environment • Runs workshops, training and ‘one-to-one’ sessions for disabled students/ graduates at universities across the UK www.Employ-Ability.org.uk
What do we do? We will support you through the entire job search process and thereafter by: • Offering internship, work experience and graduate programme opportunities with top employers from within the investment banking, legal, chemicals, banking, media, public and other sectors • Making recommendations of disability inclusive employers • Guidance, advice and support with CV and application form writing • Mock interview sessions with key employers www.Employ-Ability.org.uk
What do we do? (cont.) • Advice and essential information on how to perform well at interviews and assessment centres • Information and advice regarding adjustments you may require during the recruitment process and/or in the workplace • Information, advice and guidance on other key disability issues such as disclosure of a disability • Inviting you to attend specialist recruitment events • Inviting you to attend skills workshops www.Employ-Ability.org.uk
Summer Internships • Currently work with the following employers on recruiting for summer internships and Graduate schemes: Google, Goldman Sachs, Wellcome Trust, National Audit Office, Dow Chemical, Merrill Lynch Bank of America, Morgan Stanley, Herbert Smith and the FSA • Mixture of Internship, Graduate and 1st year programmes • Gives a real taste of working life within these organisations • Invaluable work experience • Full support given throughout by EmployAbility www.Employ-Ability.org.uk
