Expert Groups • Each teacher takes a specific fitness component and works with students on: • Teaching concepts • Comparing scores to national standard with individual goal setting • Learning Specific exercises that target each component • Practice!

ACTIVITY LOGS. • Checked weekly • 5 points, or 10% of grade • Continuous aerobic activity • Teaches students FITT concept as applied to cardio-respitory endurance.

PowerPoint Template Student enter their own data E-Folios • As a district we were looking at ways to track students scores over time. • Each teacher does Fitness testing, but not all use the same result recording program (Fitness Tracker, Fitness Gram..) • Found a way that allows students to do the work of monitoring their own results
Pedometers • As a method for measuring intensity in PE, part of your daily participation grade will be based on your pedometer score. • Each activity will have a target minimum score for students to reach. • This will give us an objective measurement of your effort.
Pedometers Continued • Example Grading • Soccer step goal for the period is 3500 steps or more • 3500 =A • 3000-3499=B • 2500-3000=C • Everything else =D • Your Make Your Day points should also reflect your steps
