  4. Is recycling worth it? • Recycling makes the government lose money, but not as much as dumping trash in landfills • When you recycle you get money • Recycling reduces air pollution and waste • Recycling reduces the need for landfill space

Recycling conserves natural resources • Using recycled materials to manufacture new products conserves natural resources. • Recycling saves energy to the extraction, processing, and transportation of new materials • Transporting new materials may result in enviromental degradation to land, water, air, and ecosystems.

  6. Recycling saves disposal capacity • Recycling and waste reduction can help to minimize the overall amount of trash that needs to be buried or burned • Recycling reduces the need to build new expensive landfills

  9. summary Recycling is a good thing, “trash is cash.” when you recycle things you don’t need you get the money. Recycling works only if manufacturers and consumers actually buy and use recycled materials.We must maintain a long-term outlook on the management of wastes.
