(1)The pie chartshows the global popularity of six (2)different typesof handbags, (3)which were Coach, Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton and Longchamp handbags in 2010, (4)in percentages, (5)whereasthe table shows (6)the popularity of the same brands of handbags in the USA and China. (7)Overall, Coach handbags were the most popular in the world and China (8)whileGucci handbags were the most popular in the USA.

  4. (9)Looking atthe pie chart, we can see that the most popular handbag in the world was Coach, at just over a third. (10)The second most popularhandbag was Louis Vuitton handbags, at 24%. Chanel handbags were next at 12%. These were (11)exactly two times less popular thanLouis Vuitton handbags. Gucci handbags were the next most popular, at 10%. These were (12)just under four times less popular thanCoach handbags. (13)Together, Longchamp and Prada bags made up 16%, at 9% and 7% (14)respectively. Prada was (15)the least popularof all the brands.

  5. (16)Similar toworldwide sales, in China, Coach bags were the most popular, at just under half. (17)However, the least common handbag was Prada, at 2%. This was also the least popular brand worldwide. (18)Unlikein the world and in China, in the USA, the most common brand of bag was Gucci, at 39%. (19)In contrast, the least popular bag was Louis Vuitton bags, at 5, which was (20)just underfive times less popular thanLouis Vuitton bags worldwide.
