Purpose of SET Help rural counties work together as a regional team in developing and implementing A High Quality Regional Economic Development Plan that builds on the current and emerging economic strengths of their region.
Possible SET Regional Team Structure SET Coaches
Core Team Responsibilities Works with the Coaches to help keep SET effort on track by: • Coordinating meeting logistics • Identifying local & external assets/resources • Spearheading communication with team members and county stakeholders • Gathering insights/feedback from key stakeholders • Recruiting new team members • Preparing updates and summaries
Regional SET Coaches’ Responsibilities Guides the overall SET process by: Fostering an Inclusive Environment Advocating for Strong Communication Facilitating the Planning Process Asking Questions to Guide the Team During the Planning Process Promoting Regional Input, Feedback & Engagement Guiding the Team in Developing a High Quality Plan 19
Region’s Residents’ and Counties’ Roles • Take and active part in the Civic Forum • Provide input on the issues and opportunities in the region • Offer feedback on drafts of the high quality plan • Volunteer to be actively involved in the major initiatives of the regional SET plan. • Serve as a source of new SET Regional Team membership
