FAMILY • MEMBERS- parents, siblings, spouses, in-laws, cousins, grandparents; you can be a member my being born into the family, participate in day-to-day activities over a significant amount of time (i.e. a decade or more), marry into the family • SPECIAL LANGUAGE- ENGLISH, TAGALOG, FRENCH GENRES- Phone calls, texting, Emailing, Postal Service, Facebook, etc. GOALS- Try to reunite during holidays, special celebrations, when family members are ill, etc. Send packages during these reunions when unable to attend. Go on family vacations together. Take care of each other. • RULES- Abide by the dress code, always address Service Members by their respective titles, never turn a Service Member away, if you are not sure ask questions • GENRES- emailing, briefings, formations, memorandum requests, military doctrines • WORK • GOALS- To mobilize and demobilize Service Members to/from active duty. Providing travel accommodations for military travel. Provide optimum administrative assistance throughout their transition at FT Bliss, TX • SPECIAL LANGUAGE- demob, mob, REFRAD, transition, TOP, Cadre, DOR, HOR • GOALS- higher education and networking • Rules- attend class, be respectful for each class’s rules, turning assignments on time • GENRES- books, class time, email, blackboard • SCHOOL • MEMBERS- teachers, students, staff, alumni; you can be a member of UTEP by paying tuition and becoming a student, applying for a staff/work study position through their Human Resources Office, graduating from the University and becoming an Alumni. • FORT BLISS RED CROSS VOLUNTEER • MEMBERS- Office Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator, Events Coordinator, Volunteers, Service Members, Veterans, Dependants • GENRES- Meetings, Events, Front Desk, Email Notifications, Briefings, Classes • GOALS- Services to the Armed Forces, Inform every Service Member of who the Red Cross and stress the importance, Emergency Contact Messaging, Provide scholarships to qualifying applicants • SPECIAL LANGUAGE- OEF/OIF, Staff Duty, Movement NCO
