  5. Drink Champagne and eat delicious food

  6. Watch a fireworks show

  7. Countdown • 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

  8. At midnight, when the clock turns 12:00, people yell “HAPPY NEW YEAR” and hug/kiss their family and friends

  9. No presents • People do not get presents on the American New Year

  10. Write New Year’s Resolutions (新年願望, 新年计划) • Alicia’s New Year’s Resolutions • Drink more water • Exercise 4 times a week • Eat less sugar
