ECAL Lab measurements: summer plans • What we have • Fully functionnal scan setup with electron gun • 2 batches of 4 scintillators (already scanned) • 4x 15x15 mm2 (3M foil and reflective paint) • 4x 20x20 mm2(3M foil and reflective paint) • 15 naked scintilliators (not scanned) • 5x 20x20 mm2 • 5x 15x15 mm2 • 5x 10x10 mm2 • A few sheets of 3M relfective foil • Functionnal analysis software
ECAL Lab measurements: summer plans • What I would like to do • Re-scan some of the existing tiles (training) • Prepare new batches of scintillators • wrap some ourselves (need glue?) • paint some ourselves (need paint) • Scan new scintillators • Document full set of comparisons betwee sizes and light-containment solutions • How much light do we collect? • How uniform is the response?
ECAL Lab measurements: summer plans • What we have started doing • Hardware • re-cabled the entire setup (training) • re-aligned electron gun with trigger • check that signals are ok on the oscilloscope • Note: gun was dismantled by RP during tests with another assembled gun (C. Joram) • magnetic field has changed due to change in tightness of assembly of the various metallic parts • absolute calibration is obselete • but does not affect usage (just new working point) • Software • re-analyse existing data (training)
Measurements done by C. Joram and C. Alfieri using Hall probe Done with RP on two assembled electron guns (Note: “OLD” is ours)
