Tips on Writing Fieldnotes • Observe and record everything you possibly can. • Always be at the setting, DON’T RUN OFF! YOU WILL MISS SOMETHING. • Choose a recording format that you are most comfortable with.

Tips on Writing Fieldnotes (cont’d) • Look for “bumps” or paradoxes • Consider the environment you are observing as if it were “flat”, nothing in particular stands out to you. • Look for contradictions.
