  1. INF1070 PowerPoint Presentation

  2. Research a topic • Find a topic that is of interest to you • Minimum 10 slides of information are required (Excludes Biography and Link at end of your presentation) • Keep track of all sites you use for your information. You will need a bibliography. • Be absolutely sure what you want to focus on and research. • Find your information first before you make the PowerPoint

  3. Making the PowerPoint • Add pictures • Use themes and backgrounds, Wordart, fonts • Use subject headings, bullets, subheadings, formatting (centre, left, right) • Include topics and subtopics • Include a title page, bibliography and conclusion • Insert pictures and an animated GIF from clipart • It must include a table or chart • Create custom transitions for each slide • Must contain custom animations

  4. Slide Styles • Go to the Design tab to select a variety of styles You can select a pre-made style Choose from a variety of background styles Custom colours, fonts and effects

  7. Add a Header and Footer Not every slide needs one, but you do need to add one in.

  8. Transitions • Under the Transitions tab, you can control how the presentation looks when it changes slides. How long the transition takes Transition style Advance to next slide with the mouse or after a certain time. Make it be a certain time.

  9. Tables and Charts • You will have to insert one of these • Located under “insert”

  10. Custom Animations • Under the Animations tab are a variety of animations you can choose from. • We will use some of these. You will also make some custom ones. • More info on that next!

  11. Animations • When you go to the animations tab, you will have to click on this thing: • One you have done that, click on any object, text box, etc. to allow you to add effects to it!

  12. Create a custom Path Click on “Add Animation” Scroll down and find this one:

  14. A more advanced graphic: • Now we will add a “Trigger”, which will make the table appear only when the title on this slide is clicked.

  15. Your Triggers options • All the things that are in your slide are listed

  16. Creating a Bibliography If no author, begin the citation with the page’s title.

  17. NEXT!!!! • You will create another slideshow that is only 4 slides long • It will focus on a subtopic related to your main presentation • Include a title and a link back to your first PowerPoint • Include headers and footers • Include apicture

  18. Making a Hyperlink • Right-click on any text, graphic or text box • Select the Hyperlink option, and select your other presentation
