Ramat Hadassah’s News April 2011 Ramat Hadassa’s students in Poland “It Takes a Village to Raise a Child” AvrahamTashuma AvrahamTashuma finished his studies in Ramat Hadassah last year and volunteered to a year of national service in RishonLe'zion, through an art group that works in different communities in Israel in purpose to make a change in the Israeli society. Avraham arrived to Ramat Hadassah at 8th grade and didn't have any thoughts about finishing the matriculation exams. Thanks to the staff of Ramat Hadassah he improved his grades and finished high school successfully. Now Avraham has the opportunity to help other youngsters to make a similar change in their life Ramat Hadassa’s students took part in Hadassa’s mission to Poland. Themission visited concentration camps, heritage sites and witnessed the destruction of a rich culture. According to Shachar, a 12th grade student: “for me to join the mission is a dream coming true. My grandmother is a survivor and her family murdered during the holocaust, so I feel it’s a closure for my family. Although there were very difficult days during the trip and terrible sights, I was proud to represent my country, my village and myself…” www.tik-tak.co.il/rh
