Overview • Shortcuts are quick ways to get to the items you use often. • You can put a shortcut to any program, document, or printer on your desktop or in any folder.
Creating a New Shortcut in My Computer • This procedure is almost the same as creating a new short cut from Windows Explorer. • Reminder - Microsoft has two Explorer programs. Windows Explorer is for File Management. Internet Explorer is for Internet Browsing.
Details • This will place a shortcut to on your desktop. • You can then open Mis1b.Exam by double-clicking its shortcut icon. • A shortcut does not change the document's location. • Deleting a shortcut does not delete the original file.
Second: Select the Add Button begin the procedure for adding a shortcut.
Third: Select the Browse Button to choose the program for which you want to create a shortcut
Fourth: Open the Folder with the correct file, select that file, and click on Open.
Sixth: Select the Desktop Icon and Select the Next Button. This will place the Icon on the Desktop.
Finally: Type in your desired name for the shortcut, and then click the Finished Button.
