  2. Silverpoint Dual Stylus Silverpoint Dual Stylus is a 15 cm (5.75 in) long solid metal stylus that holds a different diameter silverpoint on each end. The stylus is a metal tube split at both ends so as to grasp the silverpoint or other metalpoint held tightly by sliding rings.

  3. Silverpoint Silverpoint is made from pure silver wire. Available in two widths, the wide point (2 mm diameter) is shaped on both ends, a cone on one end and a bevel on the other end. The thin point (0.9 mm) is shaped to a cone only on one end. All points measure 5 cm (2 inches) in length.

  4. Phenol (Carbolic Acid) Phenol is a 4% solution of phenol to prevent mold formation on gesso and chalk grounds or waterborne paint. Add Phenol to gesso or chalk grounds and store for days in a cool, dark place, or weeks in a refrigerator, without mold forming.
