One day, Jennell was in her room daydreaming about her first school dance. She had been cooped up like a chicken all day with a cold.
Andrew asked how Jennell was doing since she missed school that day. She explained she felt a little under the weather, but she was hoping to feel better by the dance.
Andrew asked if she was going to the dance. She said “I want to, but I don’t have a date.” Jennell was so excited, but she tried to act cool because she wanted Andrew to ask her.
Andrew thought to himself, “This would be the perfect time to ask her!” Then, he found the courage and asked, “Do you want to go to the dance with me?”
Jennell just couldn’t hold back her excitement and screamed, “Yes!” She told Andrew, “This will be my first dance and I’m glad I”ll be going with you!”
The next day, she told her friends Jenna, Sierra, and Jamie that she is going to the dance with Andrew. They were all so excited for her!
That same day, they all went dress shopping. They all found dresses that they loved. Jenna’s was blue, Sierra’s was red, Jamie's was purple and Jennell’s was lime green.
The next day at school, Jennell tried to talk to Andrew in 3rd period about getting her dress, but he wasn’t there. She waited for 7th period to see if he would be in class, but he wasn’t. Hopefully, she’d be able to talk to Andrew after school.
Jennell rushed home to call Andrew. He ended up with the flu! She decided to call her friend Jenna. Jenna said “You can go with Jamie, Sierra and me!”
Jennell decided she could still have a good time with her friends. They went to get their hair and make up done. The girls danced all night and had the time of their lives.
