  3. Learning Outcomes • To research genetic modification of crops to find out what it is, and the arguments for and against it. • To present findings in a written report, and critically evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of this strategy of increasing food production..

  4. Research task You will work in pairs to research the genetic modification of crops. • You should allocate research tasks: • What is genetic modification of crops • Examples of GM crops and growing regions • Arguments for GM (advantages) • Arguments against GM (disadvantages)

  5. Research report Your task is to produce a written report based on the research you did with your partner. • Success criteria: • Explain what GM crops are • Give examples of crops and growing regions • Describe the advantages of GM crops • Describe the disadvantages of GM crops • Include specific facts and figures • You need to conclude whether or not GM crops are good or bad in terms of increasing food supply • Include some images/maps/graphs to illustrate your points Due: Monday 3rd March
