Using the notes, class research, take a side using the information from the DVDs. Incorporate a synopsis, paraphrase and quotes. Use names of people and explain if they are scholarly primary sources. Lead into these sources with a signal phrase. Use the voice of authority third person and present tense. Key parts that will be graded: 1.Titles of DVDs 2.   7. Thursday January 24, 2014 New debatable/arguable topic(s): What The Bleep Do We Know? A film on quantum physics challenging traditional science of sub atomic physics. What is matter? We used to think it was the ultimate is what is static and predicable. The fundamental part of an atom is a vacuum, particles take up an insignificant part of an atom. These thoughts and so much more… listen and explore. Take notes for a synopsis. And list 3 questions either they offered or you came up with on the topic of quantum physics.

  8. Friday January 24 1st Hour Lesson Plan Argument: Adding to the list of debatable topics. A day full of listening, watching and note taking.  Martin Scorsese directs the story KUNDUN as told by Tibet’s Dalai Lama. It is acclaimed and controversial. Take notes on this true story of a man leading a nation. Note the challenges he faces politically. Notice the differences in cultural beliefs; not just perhaps from your own beliefs, but Tibet from China.
