  1. Year 7 - Art Home Learning – Shape, Space & Form • Create a information study page on the patterns used in Islamic faith. Include key Islamic ideas, facts and pictures on at least 2, A4 pages • Create your own carpet design on A5 using the The Ardabil Carpet, Iran 1539-40, on the V&A museum website as inspiration. - Think about symmetry, motif, repeat, boarders and inscription • Find the Mosque lamp on the V&A website and make a careful copy of all the patterns on it. Fill a whole A4 page in your sketchbook, using any media. • Find out some words in Arabic. Then… using the Arabic script, design your own Mosque lamp filling an A4 page. Again, think about symmetry, motif, repeat pattern, boarders and inscription. • Create your own Islamic boarder using the geometrical shapes studied in lesson.
