How Hearing Work? • 1.Outer ear : - Outer ear receives the waves from the outside environment and then transfers them into the middle ear through the ear canal. • 2.Middle ear : - Middle ear receives these waves and these waves hit the eardrum in the middle ear. Eardrum starts to vibrate and generates the three tiny bones in your ear. • These bones are called hammer, anvil, stirrup . • 3.Inner ear :- In the Inner ear the sound is generated with the help of these tiny bones.
Types Of Hearing Loss • Conductive Hearing Loss:- • Conductive hearing loss occur due to the problem or disorder in the outer ear or the middle of the ear. There are some reasons behind the conductive hearing loss which include infection, fluid and wax bulid up in the middle ear, foreign objects in the ear canal or a preforated eardrum. • Sensorineural Hearing Loss:- • Sensorineural hearing loss occurs when the nerves of the ear get damaged and unable to transfer the signals to the brain. In this type of Hearing loss sound is not clear to the patient, because the nerves of the inner ear and sensory cells got damaged over the time.
What is Hearing Aid • Basic digital hearing aids generally require the wearer to make some manual adjustments in certain listening environments such as turning a volume control up or down, or pushing a button to change listening programs. In contrast, a premium or more advanced hearing aid responds automatically to changes in the listener’s environment, making changes based on the signals being detected by the hearing aid.
