Marden Medical Practice Patient Survey Results 2012 - 2013
What services would you like to see developed within the NHS? • Alcohol and substance abuse support and understanding. • Speedier availability to see consultants. • More after care when sent home from hospital. • More counselling services. • Better use of Exercise On Prescription. This should be able to be used more freely by • Doctors and more people should qualify. • Link to complementary health services. • A complete medical check up for all persons at 65. • Podiatry Services.
Thank you for taking the time to complete our Patient Questionnaire. If you have any further comments, please leave them below • Please will you reinstate the bicycle racks/shed when the works are finished. Please help • keep services provided by directly employed NHS staff rather than private contractors. • In the long run private services will break up the cohesive NHS we still have. I prefer to • see the same GP if possible please try and keep stability in GP employment at the • surgery. • Marden has always been a very good practice, I have been a patient here for 23 years. • Dr's, nurses and receptionists all very helpful and kind. • I think its important that the attitudes toward older patients should be more positive. • It should also be recognised that not all illnesses are necessarily age related and that • medical judgements should not be entirely guided by age. • It would be nice to have someone on the front desk all the time even if they are working, • bell ringing is not right ,it also passes on bacteria. • Whilst sitting waiting for my appointment the last time I visited the practice I witnessed • a female patient who I can only say was been very rude and aggressive towards one of • your receptionist. The receptionist could not have handled it better and dealt with the • patient with utter professionalism. She remained calm throughout and was a real credit • to your practice. I can not believe that receptionists or anyone else within the NHS have to • put up with this behaviour, it should not be tolerated at all and these types of patients • should be penalised within the NHS.
