The keystone or The keystone state is there because it is a part of an arch that all the other parts depend on. The keystone vote; the supporting vote for a new government. The bird is Pennsylvania’s state bird also known as the Ruffed Grouse. There are 2 horses and a eagle because it is Pennsylvania’s state symbol.{->} The flowers are Pennsylvania’s state flower. The dog is Pennsylvania’s state dog. E Pluribus Unum in Latin is known for "out of many, one.“ The reason why 1787 is on the quarter is because Pennsylvania admitted to the Union on December 12, 1787. Also Pennsylvania's quarter was released on March 8, 1999, Pennsylvania's quarter was the second coin to be released in all of the 50 States.
