  2. What is internet trap? Internet is changing so fast nowadays. It becomes a sources for new information, a connection with others and also a way the manage your daily life, such as paying your bill online. It is no doubt that our lives are related to internet in many ways but there is something that we need to keep an eyes on it. It is called “internet traps”. It is dangerous because they are everywhere on the internet and waiting for a chance to steal our personal information and/or money. You can always find a signal or a clue on these traps.

  3. What are the example of internet trap? • Sales/ Credit cards • Unknown links • Fake web page • Junk mail • Personals Etc……

  4. Sale / Credit cards Have you even seen some online shop sales their goods in very low price? Be Careful!!!! Some of them were just a trap to attract you to purchase. When you type in your card information, they will steal your identity and you will got nothing!!

  5. Unknown links When you download some software from internet, some software can secretly turn off the connection with the user and the ISP (Internet service provider), and switch to connected to the overseas long-distance dial-up units, cost users a huge international long distance charge. To Effectively prevent this trap, you should shut down the phone’s international long distance dial capabilities.

  6. Fake web page Have you ever seen 2 web page that is very similar? Watch out! One of them is fake web page! People will design the web page very similar to some famous company ( like Google, or bank). When you clink on it, they will require you to reset your account password. After you type in your account information, your account will be stolen.

  7. Junk mail You might have the experience getting a e-mail look like this- Congratulations!! You won XXXXXXXX……. Okay. Basically you can ignore them. Never clink in those link that shown in the e-mail. They might need you fill in your personal information and ask you money for service charges. This is definitely a JOKE!!!!!!!

  8. Personal Have you chat with some people that you don’t know and they are very cordial? Ummm.. “ Be Careful” ya, this sentence again. Some girl love to tell the stranger how poor they are. After a couple chats they will start to ask you for “help”. Do you think they really treat you as a friend? Think twice before you give your money out ;)

  9. Conclusion How to get rid from the internet trap? Be Smart, think twice before you make a decision. Don’t be greedy. Never let the others takes advantage on your lapse. Decline to surf some unsafe web site ( e.g porn). Always update your firewall and anti-virus software.
