  3. WSUK Alignment: Lifting standards in national competitions Outcome To understand the gaps in each skill to inform deliverable actions to support Stage Two of the alignment process.

WSUK Alignment: Lifting standards in national competitions Highlights • We are well underway with meetings taking place across several skills competitions to explore how competition activity can be more aligned as part of the Stage One. • Today will see the start of Stage Two, bringing together all COPs and TM/Es to start mapping their competitions and planning next steps.

WSUK Alignment: Lifting standards in national competitions Highlights • To further support the ambition we are making significant enhancements to improve the quality of the journey to the UK final for all competitors: • Pre-competition materials, Competitor Preparation Toolkits and Competitor Training and Development grants • Competitor Training and Development grants process is now complete with 6 COPs successfully submitting proposals to support pre-final training for 27 skills competitions. • Competitor monitoring programme: age eligibility reports for WS2015
